James W. McKenzie, Jr. is an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia and is admitted to practice before all state courts, including the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and Federal Courts, including the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Mr. McKenzie has been practicing law for over 34 years with an emphasis in Business Litigation, General Corporate and Estate Planning.
He also has considerable experience in advising and representing medium and small business regarding various aspects of business organization and finance, contract, business sales and purchases, general corporate matters, estate planning, wills, and probate administration.

Mr. McKenzie obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Georgia where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1973. He obtained a Juris Doctor Degree also from the University of Georgia in 1976 where he graduated Cum Laude. Mr. McKenzie was admitted to the Scholastic Honorary Societies of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi in 1973 and served as managing editor of the Georgia Law Review for 1975-1976 academic year. Mr. McKenzie is currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia and Gwinnett County Bar Association. Mr. McKenzie combines his litigation experience with general practice background to assist medium and small business owners and managers to effectively anticipate and cope with business disputes and conflicts as they arise. He has also worked extensively with businesses including Fortune 500 companies in their formulation and implementation of their credit and debt collection policies. He also has substantial experience in assisting companies and individuals with a broad range of commercial real estate and construction problems. Mr. McKenzie complements these areas of expertise by offering estate planning, will and trust drafting, estate administration and litigation, and divorce and child custody issues.
